  • First place in small import model category with an overall grade of 2.17
  • Impresses with extensive range of services and competent contacts
  • Collaboration with AVS Automotive VersicherungsService and Allianz Cologne.

The "Schwedenversicherung ” policy from Volvo Car Germany, which was only launched in the spring of 2016, is already being hailed as a success in the current issue of the “Autohaus VersicherungsMonitor”. The offering from the Swedish premium brand has impressed the German contract partners — and takes first place in the “Autohaus” trade magazine in the “Small import models” category. With a grade of 2.17, Volvo also delivered a strong fourth place showing in terms of the overall rating.

Volvo’s “Schwedenversicherung ” solution impresses at all levels. The above-average range of services and products received top marks. Volvo dealers also took a particularly positive view of the technical competence of the back office and field service. The sales team also has considerable decision-making competence, which is assessed to be above the industry average. Compared to last year, the contract partners also assess the quality and frequency of special campaigns, payment volume and the incentive system for their own car dealerships in a more positive light.

“By having our own insurance, we are able to offer Volvo customers a customized and attractive product that offers benefits for all parties. For example, the “Schwedenversicherung” policy guarantees that the high Volvo standards are also adhered to during vehicle repairs. At the same time, it also ties customers to our contract partners,” explains Thomas Mengelkoch, Director Finance at Volvo Car Germany GmbH and Managing Director of VCIS Germany GmbH (Volvo Car Insurance Services).

VCIS Germany offers the “Schwedenversicherung ”. The joint venture was established by the importer of the Swedish premium brand, Volvo Car Germany, and AVS Automotive VersicherungsService GmbH, a subsidiary of Maiden Rückversicherungs-Holding. The cooperation partner is Allianz Versicherungs-AG, which is also responsible for the Volvo car insurance, among others. The local Volvo sales partners act as the contacts for the customers; they are supported by an exclusive sales team.

“We are pleased that the Swedish Insurance is so popular in the industry. The success of manufacturer insurance solutions greatly depends on the consistent integration and implementation of the solution at the dealership. The assessment in the VersicherungsMonitor shows that the contract partners are pleased”, says Susan Sahl Poynor, Managing Director of AVS Automotive VersicherungsService GmbH, together with Thomas Mengelkoch, Managing Director of Volvo Car Insurance Services. “This forms the foundation for a high degree of customer satisfaction.”

On behalf of the “Autohaus VersicherungsMonitor”, the market research company Puls surveys approximately 1,000 brand dealers every year regarding their current level of satisfaction with their vehicle insurers. The contract partners award grades for a total of 30 individual criteria that focus on the insurance product per se, but also on sales support, claim settlement, back office services, sales team support and the manufacturer’s sales strategy.
